Gears of War: Reloaded – The Return of the Legendary Shooter to New Platforms
On May 5, Microsoft officially announced Gears of War: Reloaded — a fully remastered version of the 2006 cult shooter, which will be released on August 26, 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and for the first time on PlayStation 5.
The game is an enhanced version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which includes all additional content, including a bonus campaign act, all multiplayer maps and modes, as well as a full pack of characters and cosmetic items.
Technical improvements:
- 4K graphics and updated textures
- Campaign at 60 FPS, multiplayer — up to 120 FPS
- HDR, Dolby Vision and 3D spatial audio
- Complete elimination of loading screens

Multiplayer and co-op:
The game provides two-player co-op (local and online), and multiplayer supports up to 8 players. There is full cross-platform play and progress sharing, using a Microsoft account.
Price and availability:
Gears of War: Reloaded will be sold for $ 39.99 and will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers from the day of release. Those who previously purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition in digital format will be able to get the updated version for free.
