BioShock 4 – Is It Going to Come Out?

BioShock 4 Rumors and Facts So Far

For years now, BioShock 4 has been a topic that seems to exist and yet seems to be lost in the air. Nothing has been officially said, not a logo, not a single frame, but there is an amazing silence where you can still hear the rustling of things. It feels as if the entire industry realizes that after Irrational, there was a dark room where the walls of a new BioShock universe were warped by the noise of waiting.

The most interesting thing is that the studio Cloud Chamber has been formally working on “the next part of BioShock” for years. So it says in the vacancies, so the developers write on their Linkedin, and so do those semi-insiders who clearly see something but can’t say it yet.

They have a tone as if the game exists, it’s just not ready for the world to see yet.

The latest rumors are especially lively. Someone claims that the new BioShock takes place in a completely new city. Not underwater and not in the sky. Something in between, strange, almost stuck between presence and absence, which, if true, fits very well with the dramatic, philosophical energy of the series.

Another train suggests that the game will be set in a more open space, but will still retain that heavy-breathing atmosphere that nothing can take away from the series.

One “insider” even said that the main theme is about forms of control, political manipulation, and perceived reality. It seems that they will again take the path that the first part took so painfully well. Returning to the question of how free we are when we think we follow our own decisions.

Of course, all this is half-whispered. None of it is 100% confirmed.

But if you listen to the pulse of the industry, you can clearly feel something happening.

Cloud Chamber doesn’t speak to the public, but it doesn’t deny the vibe we’re all feeling either. Stylistically, thematically, and in terms of time, BioShock 4 should be taking shape. It’s just that the process is moving more slowly, which could mean that the game is too big or that they’re taking a pretty risky path in development.

If it ever comes out, there’s a good chance it’ll be a completely different dimension for BioShock.

Not Rapture, not Columbia. Something third, new, unknown. The kind of breathing that still excites us after all these years.

And really, if we listen to our hearts, this is the kind of series that’s simply afraid to remain silent.

And now?

The silence is deafening, but it’s very similar to the previous one.
