New Batman Game – New Rumors

Is Rocksteady Back? – Rumors of a New Batman Game Are Growing

The gaming world is abuzz again – rumors are circulating that Rocksteady Studios, best known for the Batman: Arkham series, may be working on a new Batman game. Although there has been no official announcement on the matter yet, in recent days a rather serious insider has released information that has caught the attention of fans.

New Batman Game – What We Know So Far?

Recently, a well-known insider wrote on @MyTimeToShineHello X (formerly Twitter) that Rocksteady’s next project could be a new Batman game that “will not be part of the Arkham universe, but will be based on the Batman comics and will have a more serious tone.”

At the same time, rumors have spread that the studio has already begun work on the pre-production phase – we are talking about the script, the first concepts and the outlines of the characters. How real is all this? We have nothing to confirm this yet, but we know that the reaction of fans is already noisy.

Why is this a big deal?

As a reminder, Rocksteady Studios has become one of the most beloved names in the gaming industry since releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, a game that breathed new life into the Batman franchise. Then came Arkham City, Arkham Knight, and the highly anticipated (but critically mixed) Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The fact is, the Arkham series is still considered one of the best superhero games in history.

What you need to know about Rocksteady

Rocksteady Studios is a London-based British studio that is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. The studio is best known for its Batman: Arkham series, which completely changed the standard for games based on comics.

A Brief Overview of Batman Series:

Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) – The first game in the series, which was distinguished by its impressive atmosphere developed in a closed space and the innovative FreeFlow combat system. The game showed from the very beginning that Rocksteady was creating a serious product.

Batman: Arkham City (2011) – The series moved to the open world and showed us Batman in a much freer, more diverse environment. The game is full of familiar villains, a dark and deep storyline and is still considered one of the best in the superhero genre.

Batman: Arkham Origins (2013) – This part was worked on by WB Games Montréal instead of Rocksteady, and is a prequel. In the game we see a younger Batman, who is trying to establish his identity as the defender of Gotham. Although technically slightly inferior to City, it remains a valuable part of the story for a large part of the fans – the dramatic confrontation with the Joker and impressive boss fights were especially acceptable.

Batman: Arkham Knight (2015) – A magnificently packaged conclusion to the series, released on a new generation and including a larger open world and the use of the Batmobile. The graphics and atmosphere were at the highest level, although the PC version received a lot of criticism for bugs upon release.

(Conversely) Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (2024) – Without Batman, but in the same world, which was given a cold reception by fans.

What to Expect?

Although we are still talking about rumors, if this project is real, then perhaps Rocksteady is trying to restore its reputation and return to its strongest side with a new Batman game.

Fans have one thing left – to wait and hope that the Dark Knight will return to our screens again.

Finally

If the rumors are confirmed, a new shock awaits the gaming world. Rocksteady’s name is associated with quality, atmosphere and the best combat mechanics that a Batman game can have. Most importantly – if anyone can turn a Batman superhero game into an unforgettable experience, it is Rocksteady.
